One of the most important things we express to every single one of our clients is good quality media is essential for every piece of content that goes into a great digital marketing strategy. Now, while that may seem “obvious”, it is actually a factor that a lot of marketing experts deal with with middle to small sized businesses. Why is that? Well, because most smaller business owners don’t have time to be capturing photos, videos, etc. throughout their day-to-day work or don’t have the funds to hire a professional to constantly be bringing in new content.
That is okay!
You see, you don’t need to be spending the big bucks to constantly bring in professional photographers or videographers. Why? Well, look around your office. Those awesome employees you see can handle the job quickly and with just the touch of a button.
What we suggest to many of our clients is to incorporate your employees in your content creation! Chances are almost every one of your employees has a smart phone that takes great quality photos and videos, and, most likely they are very familiar with capturing a good quality photo or video. This is CRUCIAL to bringing in new content on a regular basis.
Now, this doesn’t mean you should never take the opportunity to hire a professional to come in and work their magic – the content they will provide for you can be a staple in all of your content for years to come; however, if you have a digital marketing strategy in place that incorporates social media, a new website, emails, or blogs, you will need to be consistently producing new content to continue to adapt to tailor to the interests of your target audience and provide consistent, updated messaging.
Remember, a picture (and a video) speaks a thousand words. In the world we live in today, it will likely be the media used with your content that will catch the eye of your audience. For that reason, it is very important.
