Expectations - What Your Marketing Agency Wants You To Know

As StrategyNest continues to work from home, we have made sure to continue to carry on our awesome company culture remotely – this includes good communication and even checking on one another on a professional as well as personal level.

Through this, we discovered something quite interesting. Almost everyone on our StrategyNest team has dealt with a mistaken gender identification of an animal. This meaning we have had a few cats, many birds and more, that we *thought* were a girl or boy, just to find out they were the opposite gender. We know – how weird and random!!

You’re probably thinking to yourself…”What does this have to do with marketing? Why would we care about the gender of your animals?” Never fear, we do have a point to this story.

While we discussed this odd occurrence that we had all experienced, it got us thinking about how it relates to marketing. We discussed how we can compare you and your company the pet owners and StrategyNest, your marketing agency, to the veterinarian.

We began discussing how many clients of marketing agencies have very certain expectations and thoughts about how their marketing is going to work; however, it is the job of your agency to help you through it and guide you in the right direction with their knowledge.

This is where it is important for marketing agencies to remind clients that this is where we thrive and excel in our expertise. It is important to allow your marketing agency to diagnose the potential problem or formulate the strategy that we feel is best, for example.

We understand that it is a difficult thing to give any control to another person when it comes to your company and your goals. We also understand that it can be easy to panic when you feel that the efforts being made might not meet your certain expectations always. But this is what you pay a professional agency for, and we know what we’re doing!

StrategyNest would like to remind you that sometimes expectations can inhibit the best work from being completed for your marketing goals. The best advice we can provide is to trust your professional agency for their guidance on strategy, data and insights measured, and overall expertise. This may just lead you to achieving your goals quicker and easier than you ever imagined.

Pet owners, you can trust your veterinarians!
